Emeralds Get Past Stroudsburg for 7-6 Win
The Stroudsburg Shade got a superb performance from pinch hitter Luis Munoz, but the Eugene Emeralds still won the game, 7-6. Munoz was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Cody Mason earned his 14th save in 17 chances. The Emeralds bumped their record to 55-55 with this latest triumph.

The Emeralds got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Ángel Sánchez. For the game, Sánchez went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Eugene a 7-6 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Sánchez said.
