In a well-pitched game between the Tree City Black Squirrels and the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, pitcher Francis Luck was superb. The Tree City right-hander was named the player of the game in Tree City's 3-1 win. The Black Squirrels have now won 4 straight.
Cole Capone drove in one run for Tree City. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ricky Lerma. It was his 51st RBI of the season.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Tree City manager Ramón Guerrero.
