Loss Extends Seattle Losing Streak
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Portland fans at Waterfront Park.
Starting pitcher Hajime Ota pitched well enough to help the Portland Beavers beat the Seattle Sasquatch by the score of 6-4. Seattle, at 23-38, has lost 8 straight.
Carlos Campos hit a bases-clearing triple off Dan Lewis in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Beavers in front, 5-4. Campos had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Portland manager John Harrison.
