The Frosties grabbed a win, 5-1, at The Blizzard Bowl, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Tim Marchman. Marchman went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Nobuhiko Newton in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Tim Marchman took the loss. Marco Cruz notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.
Oscar Baltazar's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for Barrow. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Barrow leading 2-1, the catcher reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Barrow skipper Evan Warner.
At 52-56, the Frosties find themselves in third place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
