Victory Pushes Dancin' Outlaws Record to 59-43
|
Fans at Penlee Park were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws take on the Bethesda Hornets.
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws got a strong performance from pitcher Yasukatsu Yonemura, who stymied the Bethesda offense en route to a 5-1 win at Penlee Park. The Dancin' Outlaws are now 59-43, while the Hornets fall to 64-40.
Marcos Rodríguez aided the West Virginia cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez.
