Takano Helps Knights Run Win Streak to 3
|
Kingwood played host to San Angelo at the friendly confines of Stable Park.
The Kingwood Knights topped the San Angelo Mustangs, 7-1, with third baseman Satomi Takano playing a big role. Takano was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Knights in the win. Kingwood is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Billy Mumford swatted a 2-run home run for Kingwood in the bottom of the third. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Mumford.
