Thompson Mystifies Charleston
Jack Thompson of the Victoria Vikings was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 8-0, against the Charleston Panthers.

By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno.

"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."

Thompson had 12 strikeouts and 3 walks in the outing.\n
