The exploits of pinch hitter Daniel Harris helped the St. Petersburg Pelicans defeat the Houston Sting, 4-2. Harris was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. St. Petersburg reliever Rudy Brisson picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Evan Charnley absorbed the loss. Jaiden Harris got the save, his 22nd in 25 chances.

Harris had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Evan Charnley, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Pelicans a 4-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Harris.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Harris. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Pelicans now have a record of 42-57.
