The San Angelo Mustangs knocked off the Stroudsburg Shade, 12-3, at Tim Raines Stadium. Kazuaki Kishi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason San Angelo won. The third baseman was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. San Angelo reliever Jim Padjen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Jose Vasquez was saddled with the loss. The Mustangs bumped their record to 59-43 with this latest triumph.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from catcher Kyle Higgins. For the game, Higgins went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave San Angelo a 5-3 lead.

Kishi told a San Angelo Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
