Knights Lose Again, 3-0, to Black Squirrels

The Tree City Black Squirrels got a stellar effort from pitcher Doug Fox, helping Tree City score a 3-0 win over the visiting Kingwood Knights. Tree City reliever Doug Fox was credited with the win, to go to 5-2. Chris Tattrie took the loss for Kingwood. Cory Kieck got the save, his 25th in 30 chances.
The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from right fielder Cole Capone. For the game, Capone was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Tree City a 1-0 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Tree City manager Ramón Guerrero. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Knights, now 42-59, have lost 6 in a row.
