Tsuginori Oda got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. Cory Kieck converted his 24th save in 29 tries.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Coles, who is tied for 2nd in the AHL with a .923 OPS, hit a run-scoring triple. It propelled the Black Squirrels into the lead, 1-0.
