Vikings, López Pin Bad Loss on Frosties

The Victoria Vikings topped the Barrow Frosties, 11-1, with youngster José López playing a key role. López went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Vikings in the win. Victoria has now won 8 games in a row.
Ernesto Santiago, who is tied for 10th in the BOL with a .407 on-base percentage, aided the Victoria cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Santiago told the Victoria Today.
