Cyclones Prevail, 4-3, Over Eugene
|
Coney Island Cyclones starter Bobby Criss was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Eugene Emeralds, 4-3. Jesus Espinoza converted his 1st save in 1 tries. Coney Island's record now stands at 41-58, placing them last in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from catcher Francis Unicombe. For the game, Unicombe was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Coney Island a 2-0 lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said Eugene manager Ricardo Martínez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
