Bush Wackers Bang Out 10-4 Win Versus New Orleans
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers picked up a win at The Republic, knocking off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 10-4. Starting pitcher Bobby Savoy was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Savoy, now 12-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 12. The Bush Wackers have an impressive 64-36 record.
Matt Sullivan had a chance to do some damage in the bottom of the ninth. With New Orleans trailing 10-3, New Orleans had runners on 2nd and 3rd. Sullivan hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. New Orleans would not finish the comeback.
