Knights Continue Skid Thanks to Bloom, Sting
|
The Houston Sting beat the Kingwood Knights, 3-2, at Stable Park. The Sting got a fine performance from catcher John Bloom, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Kingwood's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when shortstop Jerry Schnoor drew a walk. The Sting went on to win.
