The San Angelo Mustangs topped the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 6-1, in Lyman Bostock League action at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The player of the game was San Angelo pitcher and Caguas, Puerto Rico native Omar Mendez. The Mustangs bumped their record to 58-41 with this latest triumph.

Freddy Ramos, who is tied for 7th in the BOL in triples with 4, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4 with a triple.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Mendez.
