Blazers Win Thriller, 4-3
|
The Bloomington Blazers picked up a win at Arson Arena, knocking off the South Carolina Bombers, 4-3. On the mound for Bloomington was right-hander Mitsuzuka Koyama, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Blazers bumped their record to 37-22 with this latest triumph.
Bloomington's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Eugene Axe reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Axe told the Bloomington Citizen.
