López Helps Vikings Run Win Streak to 6
José López helped his team muscle past the Tree City Black Squirrels, 7-2. In the game, the Victoria first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Victoria reliever Jorge Ortega picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Esteban Ruíz was saddled with the loss. The first-place Vikings have won 6 consecutive games.

López had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Mike Mager, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Vikings a 4-2 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for López.
