Frosties Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Boise
|
The Barrow Frosties racked up a win at Grand Canyon Valley Park, bumping off the Boise Bloodhounds, 6-0. Josh Shumpert, who started for Barrow, pitched effectively for his team. The third-place Frosties now have a win-loss record of 48-52.
The Frosties got a big at-bat from catcher Danny Melo. For the game, Melo was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Barrow a 2-0 lead.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Barrow manager Evan Warner.
