Sasquatch Lose Again, 11-6, to Beavers
|
The Portland Beavers picked up a win at Waterfront Park, knocking off the Seattle Sasquatch, 11-6. On the mound for Portland was left-hander Félix Reina, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Reina, now 3-7. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 11. Seattle, at 23-37, has lost 7 straight.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Waterfront Park seemed to enjoy watching the Roberto Clemente League action.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Carl Best. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
