Bush Wackers Deal Bums Painful Loss
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Palm Beach Bums at Baylor Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Alexis Nunez, who captured player of the game honors. Aaron Lyons got credit for the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Brisbane has now won 3 in a row.
Ryan Conley was the walk-off hero for Brisbane. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bush Wackers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Conley told the Brisbane Observer.
