McCalvin Dazzles in Victoria Win
The Victoria Vikings got a stellar performance from pitcher Joey McCalvin, who handcuffed the San Angelo offense en route to a 2-0 win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Pete Murphy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 33 of 33 save opportunities. The Vikings bumped their record to 61-36 with this latest triumph.

The Vikings liked what they saw from McCalvin. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Mustangs to no earned runs on 1 hit over 8 innings, and striking out 9.

"We'll enjoy this win," said McCalvin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
