Cyclones Continue Skid Thanks to Pederson, Saints
The exploits of right fielder Marc Pederson helped the St. Paul Saints defeat the Coney Island Cyclones, 13-2. Pederson went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Fernando Criado, the winner, improved to 8-2. He held the Cyclones to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 3. The Saints bumped their record to 51-43 with this latest triumph.

Terry Simmon, who is tied for 10th in the BOL in doubles with 20, aided the St. Paul cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Pederson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
