San Angelo first baseman Orlando Talamantez was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the Boise Bloodhounds. Talamantez, who is tied for 4th in the BOL in hits with 109, went 4-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustangs. Adam Andersen got credit for the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 3 runs on 13 hits in 9 innings. San Angelo is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Talamantez had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Mustangs went on to win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Talamantez told the San Angelo Daily News.
