Pelicans right fielder Matt Roth put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Roth was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for St. Petersburg in the contest. Reliever Adrian Bogle picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Aaron Lyons took the loss. St. Petersburg has now won 3 in a row.
Brad Davis's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a slider from Aaron Lyons for a solo home run. It put St. Petersburg in front, 5-4.
