Bel Air got a terrific performance from pitcher Ramiro Munoz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Bethesda Hornets. Bethesda won the Philip Banks Field contest, 3-2. Munoz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters . Juan Ortiz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Shayne Cluff was tagged with the loss. Bethesda leads the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division by 6 games.
Antonio Aguilar chipped in for Bethesda with a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Aguilar. "And not try to do too much."
