Saints Turn Back Chippewa, 3-1

The St. Paul Saints and Chippewa River Chiefs completed their game despite the inclement weather.
St. Paul right-hander Ruben Fernandez made an effective start against the Chippewa River Chiefs at Saints Ballpark, leading his team to a 3-1 win. John Benefield got the save, his 20th in 23 chances.
T.J. Oster aided the St. Paul cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"Enjoyed this one," Fernandez told the St. Paul News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Today's win puts St. Paul at 48-40, while Chippewa falls to 49-40.
