Bloodhounds center fielder Mario Ozuna put his stamp on his team's 9-5 win over the Nichols Gnats. Ozuna went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Boise in the contest. Boise reliever Jason Loer was credited with the win, to go to 7-5. Andre Oliver took the loss for Nichols. Nichols's current losing streak is now 6 games.

The Bloodhounds got a big at-bat from first baseman Carlos Carranza. For the game, Carranza went 1 for 5 with a walk. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 50th hit of the season gave Boise a 6-5 lead.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Boise manager Nick Brown.
