Triska Excels, But Sting Win
|
The Houston Sting overcame a good performance by Westside catcher Pat Triska to knock off Westside, 7-4, at Woodland Park. Triska belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Houston has now won 3 in a row.
The Sting got a big at-bat from shortstop Andy Hegarty. For the game, Hegarty went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Houston a 7-3 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Hegarty told the Houston Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
