Behind a solid performance from second baseman Manny Huizar, the Boise Bloodhounds defeated the Nichols Gnats, 11-2. Huizar went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 for the Bloodhounds. Nichols has now lost 5 straight.
The Bloodhounds got a big at-bat from third baseman Paul Woods. For the game, Woods went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Boise a 4-0 lead.
