The rain came, as predicted, but the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and Barrow Frosties were able to complete their ballgame.
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws defeated the Barrow Frosties, 7-3, at Penlee Park. West Virginia designated hitter Marcos Rodríguez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kenny Moran, credited with the save, is now 25 for 27 in save opportunities.
In the bottom of the third inning, first baseman Kevin Howard came through big-time for the Dancin' Outlaws. With West Virginia leading 3-2, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Rodríguez.
West Virginia has now won 4 straight.
