Thompson Sensational for Vikings
The Victoria Vikings got a strong performance from pitcher Jack Thompson, who stymied the Boise offense en route to a 8-1 win at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Victoria is now 51-32, 2½ games up in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division.

Thompson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 11 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 6 hits. Thompson, who is tied for 9th in the BOL with a 8 quality starts, goes to 6-4 on the year with 100 strikeouts.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Thompson said after the game.
