Streaking Bloodhounds Win Another One
|
The Boise Bloodhounds got a stellar effort from pitcher Francisco Martínez, helping Boise score a 5-2 win over the visiting Palm Beach Bums. In 6 innings, Martínez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Bloodhounds have now won 6 straight.
Boise third baseman Manny Huizar contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Huizar was 2-4 with a double.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Martínez told the Boise Herald.
