The Winfield Warriors stopped the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 5-3, at The Barn. The Warriors got a big game from Jamel Smith, who was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. José López went 5 innings for Winfield to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 1 earned run. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 10. His record improves to 2-1.
