Bums Score Late to Upend Saints, 3-1

Palm Beach and St. Paul duked it out at Envoys Ballpark and the Bums came out victorious.
The Palm Beach Bums faced a tough opponent in St. Paul pitcher Ruben Fernandez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Envoys Ballpark by a final score of 3-1. Fernandez went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Ryan Wise notched his 12th save in 15 chances.
Had José Moreno not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Moreno hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Bums.
Moreno attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Their 33-43 record puts the Bums 4th in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
