Mustangs Lose to Black Squirrels in Walk Off
The Tree City Black Squirrels faced a tough opponent in San Angelo pitcher Joe Kearns, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Nut House by a final score of 3-2. Kearns went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Tree City reliever Cory Kieck picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Joe Kearns absorbed the loss. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 42-35 with this latest triumph.

Pete Leggett was the walk-off hero for Tree City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Squirrels left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

Leggett called the triumph "a good team win."
