Ramos Hits 2 home runs in Mustangs Win
The San Angelo Mustangs beat the Tree City Black Squirrels, 7-5, at The Nut House. The Mustangs got a fine performance from shortstop Freddy Ramos, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jim Padjen converted his 7th save in 9 tries. The Mustangs bumped their record to 45-32 with this latest triumph.

Ramos had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch curveball from Doug Fox, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Mustangs a 6-5 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Ramos.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Ramos. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
