Sting Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus St. Petersburg
|
The Houston Sting dealt the St. Petersburg Pelicans a 7-3 loss at Billy Mathews Field. Andy Hegarty was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Houston is now 35-40, St. Petersburg 28-43.
The Sting got a big at-bat from center fielder Steve Pollard. For the game, Pollard was 1-2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.
