Mustangs Get Past Kingwood for 3-2 Win
The San Angelo Mustangs got a stellar effort from pitcher Emílio Buenvenida, helping San Angelo score a 3-2 win over the visiting Kingwood Knights. Tony Maldonado, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The Mustangs bumped their record to 44-30 with this latest triumph.

Hai-dong Szema was the walk-off hero for San Angelo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mustangs catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said San Angelo manager Clyde Bowman.
