Berk Helps Houston Cruise to 10-3 Win
The Houston Sting topped the St. Petersburg Pelicans by the score of 10-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Cliff Berk. Berk went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Sting on the day. The Sting now have a record of 34-40 with the win over St. Petersburg.

Berk contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Houston in the top of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Berk took a changeup from Brad Leys and stroked the double to left. His 3rd double of the season allowed the Sting to leap in front, 3-2.

Berk told a Houston Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
