Thompson, Vikings Get 4-1 Win
The Victoria Vikings got a stellar performance from pitcher Jack Thompson, who handcuffed the Kingwood offense en route to a 4-1 win at The drakkar. The Vikings sit in first place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division with a record of 44-29.

Thompson, a native of Shihezi, China, was dealing all game. He kept Kingwood hitters off-balance, while giving the Vikings 8 quality innings. Thompson threw 113 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 7.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno. "It's usually not just one thing."
