Late Rally by Warriors Secures Win
The Winfield Warriors beat the Chippewa River Chiefs, 6-4, at The Reservation. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Yashpal Rob, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Chris Wilson got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. With the win, Winfield goes to 27-42, while the River Chiefs fall to 38-34.

The Warriors got a big at-bat from catcher Dave Espinoza. For the game, Espinoza went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the top of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Winfield a 5-4 lead.
