In a tight contest at Tim Raines Stadium, the Stroudsburg Shade edged the Bethesda Hornets by the score of 8-7. Stroudsburg first baseman Héctor García, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. The win was credited to Jose Vasquez in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Javier Sánchez took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Stroudsburg.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Stroudsburg trailing 7-6, Paco Jiménez hit a fastball from Javier Sánchez to right for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Shade had a walk-off win.
