Jedi Knights Lose, 5-4, at Saints Ballpark
|
Jonathan Padilla had a good game, but he could not keep the New Orleans Jedi Knights from falling, 5-4, to the St. Paul Saints at Saints Ballpark. The New Orleans catcher went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs in the loss. The winner was Ian Portz, who threw 118 pitches over 7.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 10 hits. The Saints bumped their record to 36-33 with this latest triumph.
Bob Scott contributed to the St. Paul win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Scott told reporters after the game.
