Hornets Lose, 5-2, at Tim Raines Stadium

It was a fun time at Tim Raines Stadium, where the Bethesda Hornets and Stroudsburg Shade tangled.
The Stroudsburg Shade topped the Bethesda Hornets, 5-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Tim Raines Stadium. The player of the game was Stroudsburg catcher Gerald Easler. Stroudsburg reliever Liu-liang Ying picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Franck Guillaume shouldered the loss. Jim Unknown, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
The Shade got a big at-bat from first baseman Héctor García. For the game, García was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Stroudsburg a 4-2 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," García told the Stroudsburg Observer.
Stroudsburg has now won 3 in a row.
