The rain could not keep the Coney Island Coliseum crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Coney Island Cyclones did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the San Angelo Mustangs at Coney Island Coliseum. Nobody did more than first baseman Walker Greenan, who captured player of the game honors. Ricardo Hernández was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Greenan hit a solo home run. It propelled the Cyclones into the lead, 2-1.

"We found a way to get it done," Greenan said.

Coney Island, at 31-35, occupies 4th place in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division.
