Pioneers Lose to Marauders, 10-3
|
The Maple Marauders defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 10-3. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Mendel Israel, who went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Steve McBryde in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Alejandro García took the loss. Maple has an impressive 38-16 record.
Israel had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Marauders went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Israel told the Maple Citizen.
