Turner Helps Frosties Run Win Streak to 7
|
The Barrow Frosties extended their winning streak at Tim Raines Stadium.
The Barrow Frosties stopped the Stroudsburg Shade, 7-3, at Tim Raines Stadium. The Frosties got a big game from Dave Turner, who went 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Ernesto Guevara picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 7 in 5.1 innings.
With Barrow leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Turner hit a fastball from Francisco Rodríguez for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Frosties ahead, 6-2.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Turner.
The wins continue to add up for Barrow, with the latest making it 7 in a row.
