Pelicans Win 6-5 Walk-Off

The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a superb performance from pitcher Jose Artola, but the St. Petersburg Pelicans still won the game, 6-5. Artola was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Jaiden Harris, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. St. Petersburg currently is in 4th place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division at 48-63.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when St. Petersburg designated hitter Dan Stoner, facing Aaron Lyons, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Pelicans the 6-5 win.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Stoner, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
