Saints Bang Out 8-6 Win Versus Charleston
The inspired effort of Charleston center fielder Augusto Cavazos was not enough to prevent a 8-6 loss to the St. Paul Saints. Cavazos went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. St. Paul reliever Fernando Criado picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Dennis Winkowski was saddled with the loss. John Benefield converted his 10th save in 12 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for St. Paul, had it not been for Roberto Molina, the 21-year old center fielder . Molina contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put St. Paul up, 3-2.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Molina.

St. Paul currently is in third place in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division at 30-31.
